Wilmslow and the surrounding area

Wilmslow is situated in an affluent area of North East Cheshire and is fifteen miles south of Manchester City Centre. Together with the neighbouring villages of Prestbury and Alderley Edge, Wilmslow forms the 'Golden Triangle', home to stars of the Premier League and the 'Street'!

Wilmslow caters for shopaholics with the upmarket department store Hoopers and many small boutiques in the town centre and large out of town retail outlets at Handforth Dean (Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Bhs) and Cheadle Royal (John Lewis, Sainsbury's).

Local places of interest include Quarry Bank Mill at Styal, Alderley Edge, Nether Alderley Mill, Capesthorne Hall, Gawsworth Hall, Tatton Park, Macclesfield Silk Musuem, and the Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope. Also nearby are Dunham Massey, Hare Hill, Arley Hall, Adlington Hall, Bramall Hall and Lyme Park.

Nearby is Manchester City Centre with its many shops (including the Trafford Centre), theatres, museums, bars and restaurants.
